Richard Michalski, born of a German mother and Polish father in a displaced persons camp in North Germany, came to the US in 1951. Sara Michalski was born in Kuldja, China and her ethnic heritage is Russian, Jewish and Ukrainian. Her parents escaped from Russia, lived in China for 25 years, moved to Australia in 1959, and immigrated to the US. After marrying in 1971, Richard and Sara ministered extensively throughout eastern and western Europe.
